Q: Does Bontrager still make frames or bicycles?
A: No, Keith and Bontrager engineers are concentrating all efforts and resources on making premium wheel systems and components. We are very proud of our heritage though, thanks for asking.
Q: Where was my Bontrager frame built?
A: Trek built the Privateer models in Waterloo, Wisconsin. All other models were built in Santa Cruz, California (where Keith still lives and rides).
Q: I bought a used Bontrager bike/frame from a friend, what kind of warranty do I have?
A: The warranty is only valid for the original owner.
Q: Where are Bontrager wheels and components made?
A: Most high-end Bontrager wheels and OCLV components are made in the USA: The rest of our wheels and components are built throughout the world by the best manufacturers in the industry. Everything that bears the Bontrager name is engineered, designed, and tested by Bontrager as a company.
Q: Do you have a crash replacement policy for your wheels?
A: We do not have a crash replacement policy. Bontrager does stock most replacement parts to affordably rebuild our wheels. Please contact a local Bontrager dealer for more details.
